Rock Town Distillery Wins Gold And Silver At San Francisco’s World Spirits Competition

When most people think about bourbon whiskey, Kentucky still is first to come to mind. But Rock Town Distillery, from Little Rock, Arkansas, is proving that great bourbon can come from anywhere in the US where you have great ingredients and deep knowledge of distilling.

And, it would seem that the judges of the San Francisco World Spirits Competition agree. Just this week, they awarded Rock Town’s main line of Arkansas Bourbon Whiskey their prestigious Gold Medal for 2018.

Rock Town also took in silver medals for their Straight Bourbon, Single Barrel Bourbon, Four Grain Sour Mash Bourbon, and Rye Whiskey.

“The competition was fierce again this year” said distillery founder and head distiller Phil Brandon. “There were 2,469 entries with the bourbon entries up 60% from last year, so we’re extremely proud to win Gold and Silver this year. Wining 5 medals for our whiskeys is a testament to our hard work and quality.”
